Goldsmith Marion Heilig doesn' t spin straw into gold - but she is 'nt far away so doing. For her bangles she changes apparently profane material plastic into something appearing extremly precious. She makes gold shining through its semi-transparent layers.
The formal clearness of these Spiral bangles is at the same time minimalistic. They fit perfectly as bracelet around the arm without to disturb.
Marion Heilg got several awards for her innovative approach to new materials in jewellery. Her education was the classic one, as gold- and silversmith ending in a diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nürnberg. Later she attended a course of Gianpaolo Babetto at the International Summer Academie at Salzburg/ Austria. Her jewellery is shown internationaly. She lives and works in Berlin.
